Loutraki is a city in the south of Greece. Its mineral springs are known for their healing properties since ancient times, and they have been widely used since 1855. Loutraki is a seaside town situated at 4 km in the northeast of Corinth, at 4 km from the Isthmus Canal, at 80 km from Athens  and at 120 km from Patras. It is also the capital of the Loutraki-Perachora prefecture .

The beaches of Loutraki

The are of the Loutraki-Perachora municipality is famous for its beautiful beaches. The Crystal-clear sea water and beautiful beaches of Loutraki are constantly decorated with the “Blue Flag” since 1987 because of environmental management for the benefit of tourism. At the beach of Loutraki, visitors can enjoy among other activities,  all kinds water sports that are offered in an organized manner that offer an unforgettable experience.

Those who love swimming around the distant beaches are recommended to visit Flambouro and Skaloma. Milokopi, Sterna and Strava are also famous for their beautiful beaches and crystal clear waters. Schinos and Mavrolimni have beautiful beaches and offer the possibility of one day trips.

The hot springs of Loutraki

Besides the 4 km long beach, the resort of Loutraki is famous for its hot springs with therapeutic qualities. The city of Loutraki was almost entirely destroyed during the earthquake in 1928, then it was rebuilt.

Other attractions in Loutraki

The Loutraki-Perachora region is famous for the Heraion of Perachora, the temple of the goddess Hera, located at the end of the Perachora peninsula, as well as for the beautiful Vouliagmeni Lake. Vouliagmeni Lake also has a nice sandy beach where visitors can swim, enjoy water sports and taste the fresh fish at the small taverns in the area.

Another attraction of the city is the Club Hotel Casino Loutraki, one of the biggest casinos in Europe.
