The most beautiful beaches on the Greek Island are found in Thassos, there each beach has its own charm, with fine sand and crystalline waters, surrounded by forests of pine and olive trees.

The main road of Thassos is one of the best offering visitors access to any of its beaches. Every beach of the Island of Thassos is unique in its own way, some of them have umbrellas and sunbeds, these being quite crowded in the peak tourist season and there some more deserted and quite beaches being ideal for those who come here to relax. We present now the top 7 beaches of Thassos.

The Paradise Beach

As the name indicates, the Paradise Beach in Thassos is the best beach of the island, which resembles a tropical paradise, surrounded by forests, being blessed with fine sand and shallow clear waters. It is the only beach where you can practice nudism and is ideal for practicing windsurfing and volleyball.

The Makriammos Beach

At just 2 km from the capital lies a long sandy beach called the Makriammos beach (which means “long beach”), surrounded by lush forests and being the home of some large shells. On this beach of Thassos, tourists will find umbrellas and sun beds for hire, and will have the possibility of practicing water sports.

The Trypiti Beach

On the south-western coast, at 39 km from the capital Limenas, lies one of the largest and most popular beaches of the Island of Thassos, known as Trypiti. The natural beauty of this beach consists of steep cliffs covered with dense vegetation and tall trees, cave that lead to the ocean, white sand and blue waters rich in marine life, all these creating a fantastic setting designed to capture the attention visitors.

The Chrissi Amoudia Beach

In the south of Makriammos beach you will find the Chrissi Amoudia (Golden Beach), ideal for small children due to shallow waters. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in the entire Mediterranean, and one of the cleanest, being rewarded with the “Blue Flag”.

The Livadi Beach

Is the eastern coast of the island, located just below the cliff with the Monastery of Archangel Michael, lies the beach known as Livadi, popular among hikers and campers because it is offering excellent opportunities for camping.

The Pefkari Beach

The Pefkari beach in the southern part of the Island of Thassos has two sandy beaches that are quite popular among tourists, offering many facilities such as lounges, restaurants, bars, taverns, even a small kiosk, the possibility to practice water sports – jet skiing, parasailing, banana rides.

The Skala Potamias Beach

At just 10 km in the south-west of the capital is one of the most beautiful and quiet resorts, called Skala Potamias, which became famous only in the recent years. The fine sandy beach has umbrellas, sunbeds, bars with drinks and snacks and the pine forests surrounding it provides a remarkable framework for tourists. It is ideal for families with small children.
