The Prinos Market is not big enough to go astray, but it is quite impressive. An important tip for tourists who come here to buy clothes at a very affordable price, is that the probation of jeans and other clothes has to be done at the vendor table because there is no dressing room.

To get here, the city offers visitors a bus, and besides all these bargains, the tourist will find here a number of small cafes, including a place called “Platanos” which offers the best Greek fast food and the famous “souvlaki”. The Prinos Market Street in Thassos is a lifetime experience !

If visitors don’t have appropriate clothes, some pants or a cape can be borrowed, all without charge. Also, photography is prohibited inside the monastery.

As this house of prayer with very hospitable nuns, is built on the edge of a cliff, tourists can enjoy one of the best views of the Aegean Sea!
