The beaches of the Island of Kos, its bays and azure blue waters will surely delight you. The Kos Island possesses some extremely beautiful beaches with golden sand. There are sandy beaches where the water is not very deep, these being ideal for families with children, and beaches for water sports enthusiasts as well, such as Agios Fokas.

The most beautiful beaches of Kos are located in the small villages Kefalos and Mastichari, but there are some splendid beaches in Marmari, Kefalos Tikaki, Mastichari or Kardamena as well.

 

Paradise Beach

The Paradise Beach is one of the most famous beaches of the Island of Kos. It is ideal for sunbathing, for water activities or to spend some great moments with friends and family.

Kardamena Beach

The Kardamena Beach on the east coast of the island and is bordered by the village with the same name. It begins near the village harbor and stretches over 3 miles. The Kardamena beach has white sand and translucent emerald waters. There are loungers, accommodation spaces, taverns and many others. The village of Kardamena is the second most important resort of Kos.

Marmari Beach

The Marmari Beach stretches before the village with the same name, at 5 miles from Pyli and seems to be interminably.

Mastichari Beach

The Mastichari Beach borders the village with the same name, at 3 kilometers in the north of Antimachia. Its white sand and smarald waters confers it an exotic air. The small port of the village links it to the Kalymnos Island.

Lambi Beach

The Lambi Beach is located in the capital of the Island of Kos. It stretches on an area of one kilometer near the main port of the island. It is a well equipped sandy beach.

Thermes Beach

In Greek “therme” means hot. The name of this beach of the Island of Kos comes from the hot springs which throw in the water and make it become warm. The fine sand of this beach has a shiny black color. The Thermes beach is at 8 km from the capital town of Kos.

Tigaki Beach

The Tigaki Beach is the closest to the capital city. It is one of the most beautiful and famous beaches of the Island of Kos. The white sand of Tigaki stretches on 10 km and has deep waters. Its beauty is accentuated by the abundant greenery and flowers.

Sandy Bay

The Sandy Bay is one of the most popular beaches. There you will find food and drinks and is a famous place among those who like water sports.

Kefalos Beach

The Kefalos Beach lies in front of the village of Kefalos at 43 kilometers from the capital city. The beach have the coldest water on the island and the temperature makes the water become clear. It is one of the most beautiful but also the most famous beaches in Kos.
